WATCH: Fans called to leave Scotiabank Arena as Pacers-Raptors games suspended due to fire breakout

The Indiana Pacers’ Saturday road game against the Toronto Raptors was suspended after a fire in the speaker hanging at the ceilings of Scotiabank Arena was reported.

Raptors’ PA announcer called for mass evacuation amongst spectators for safety purposes. It was declared midway through the halftime wherein Toronto had a wire-to-wire 28-point deficit against Indiana, 66-38

After the announcement, firefighters and Toronto police officers immediately called the fans to go into the exits calmly, wherein a team spokeswoman added that there was a small electrical fire in one of the speakers above Section 103 of the basketball arena.

So far, the NBA hasn’t released any notice yet about the incident as well as the resumption of the said game.
