Kendrick Nunn was signed by the Lakers this past offseason with the goal of him providing energy to a veteran team. However, the 26-year-old guard did not even get a chance to play a single regular season game due to a knee injury that he suffered in preseason.

Even though the season is close to its end, Nunn is still working on his preparation to play. Should he be ready to play, it would take time for him to get in his rhythm and be integrated in the team. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was asked why the player is not just ruled out for this year.

“That’s a good question,” he said. “I haven’t circled back with a recent update on that other than to know that he’s trying I’m not sure when the next MRI is but the intent is for him to continue to ramp up activity to where his imaging is coming back clean. I think there’s been some improvements but not enough to see him back in practice.”
