Magic report: Jonathan Isaac went through a small procedure to address a right hamstring injury

Orlando Magic big man Jonathan Isaac went through a minimal surgical procedure to address his right hamstring injury. Per the franchise’ note in its website, Isaac sustained the injury during his rehabilitation.

“Obviously, this was unexpected,” said the Magic’s President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman about the injury of Isaac. “No one will work harder than Jonathan in the goal to return for the start of next season.”

Way back on March 15, Isaac was ruled out by Orlando for the 2021-2022 season. The young forward hasn’t suited up in an NBA game since August 20, 2020, wherein he tore his left ACL against the Sacramento Kings.

Isaac was chosen by the Magic with the No.6 overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft. Throughout the three seasons he played, the 24-year-old cager out of the Florida State is averaging 9.3 points, 5.4 boards, 1.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest.
