Former NBA star point guard Jason Kidd is having his third stint as a head coach. Having previously coached the Bucks and Nets, he is now in charge of the Mavericks.

Under Kidd Dallas is one of the top five teams in the Western Conference. With 44 wins and 28 losses the Mavs are fifth in the West and are targeting a direct playoff qualification.

Kidd was recently asked if he should be a Coach of the Year candidate. “That award is dangerous because that award leads to getting fired the next year,” he said, per Brad Townsend.
