Rumors: Jazz’ Quin Snyder a ‘probable’ candidate to replace Frank Vogel in Lakers head coaching slate

Utah Jazz head strategist Quin Snyder is rumored receiving some interest in the Los Angeles Lakers brass.

Should the Lakers and Frank Vogel decide to part ways following this horrifying season, Snyder is a considerable choice to take over the coaching helm of the purple and gold (h/t league insider Marc Stein).

“I’ve likewise heard Snyder’s name posed as a probable Los Angeles Lakers candidate should the Lakers and Frank Vogel part ways after what has been a nightmare season in Hollywood.”

– Marc Stein (via Lakers Daily)

Vogel has been consistently reported sitting at the L.A.’s hot seat due to the ongoing disappointment in the performance of the franchise. The Lakers are currently in a peculiar place after harnessing hype and expectations prior to the start of this 2021-2022 season, filling the dead last of the West’ Play-in positions with a 30-41 card.

On the other hand, the Jazz might pull some changes if ever they underachieve again in the upcoming postseason. Snyder is a person to watch in this possible scenario, who is also getting some consideration from the San Antonio Spurs as a future replacement for Gregg Popovich.

Indeed, stories and adjustments will definitely fall down as we conclude the playoffs in June.
