Kevin Durant on Spencer Dinwiddie’s game-winner: “That’s why he gets paid $20M a year to make them shots”

Spencer Dinwiddie made back-to-back game-winners by scoring a buzzer-beating three-pointer that gave the Mavericks the win over the Nets. The 28-year-old point guard finished the game with 22 points.

His former teammate in Brooklyn Kevin Durant praised Dinwiddie for making a great shot, also saying that his team defended well on the final play and it could have gone either way.

“It’s a make or miss league, if he missed that it’s great defense by us. But that’s why [Spender Dinwiddie] gets paid $20M a year to make them shots. Gotta give ’em credit,” KD said, per Dave Early.

Dallas is now on a three-game winning streak. The Mavs are fifth in the Western Conference eyeing a direct playoff spot. For Brooklyn it’s a different story as the team is trying jump above the play-in zone. Currently the Nets are 8th place in the East.
