Kyrie Irving’s 60-point masterpiece draws love, praise from his Nets family

After a monstrous 60-point eruption to spearhead the Brooklyn Nets to a 150-108 Tuesday road demolition against the Orlando Magic, Kyrie Irving literally turned the NBA world upside down.

And definitely, his teammates and allies within the franchise had their very own words to express on his magical performance – which is indeed a classic performance that’ll remain documented and praised for years to come.

Head coach Steve Nash has nothing but admiration for Irving’s offensive spectacle, further saying that the 30-year-old point man even ellipsed his career highlight reel for just 12 minutes of action.

“He’s just incredible,” Nash on Irving, via Nets Daily’s Chris Milholen. “I felt like he had my career highlight reel in the first 12 minutes of the game. It’s a pleasure to see it up close and be a part of it.”

Meanwhile, Andre Drummond is also amazed by what Irving has shown to lead them in a wire-to-wire dub, noting that there’s no celebration that took place in their locker room simply because the seven-time All-star can deliver it easily on a nightly basis.

“We weren’t really celebrating – it is Kyrie Irving,” Drummond claimed, as reported by Cody Taylor of USA Today. “We know what he is capable of.”

“When a guy has a game going like that, there’s nothing he can do wrong. He was rolling. It was fun to watch.”

Also, the main man Kevin Durant gave his flowers to Irving, as the two became the first teammates in NBA history to drop 50+ points in consecutive games. The two-time Finals MVP went unconscious with 53 markers to guide Brooklyn against crosstown rival New York Knicks last Sunday.

Upon recording 60, Irving has a new personal career-best in points, even stealing the Nets’ franchise record in buckets made to Deron Williams who had 57 a decade ago.

The Nets will fly back home and are set to face the visiting Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. As Irving remains prohibited to suit up in home clashes, he vowed to support his team on the sidelines for their fifth-consecutive win.
