One of the Eastern Conference leaders the Miami Heat are reportedly looking to add a big name to the roster and are willing to let go Tyler Herro in exchange.

The 22-year-old point guard is highly esteemed by the Heat but if an opportunity comes to add a superior talent, it is believed that Miami would make the move.

Via Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report:

“Miami has clearly come to highly value Herro and was resistant to moving him to Toronto for Lowry last year, sources said. Yet league insiders maintain the Heat would sacrifice Herro’s promising ceiling for a chance to land the right superior talent. “We all know Miami goes big-fish hunting,” one general manager told B/R.”

This season, which is Herro’s third in the NBA, he is averaging 20.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 32.7 minutes per game. He has started only 10 times for the Heat this year so far.
