Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving shared his thoughts on his new teammate Ben Simmons. According to the 2016 NBA champion, the former Sixers point guard is a unique player that he is looking forward to play with.

Irving praised Simmons’ IQ for the way he manages the game being that tall. Kyrie also added that there are flashes of other players in his new teammate’s game.

“He’s one of one,” Irving said about Simmons. “I think that we all have skillsets that are very unique and we bring different things to the table. When I look at Ben, I see so many different skillsets that he has that he can bring to the floor with us. I see so many different positions that he can play for us.

“I really just appreciate his IQ just to be able to manage the game as a 6’11”, 6’10” so him doing that and then coming to our team and adding that depth I’m really excited. You can definitely see flashes of players that have come before him.”

Simmons will not start playing for Brooklyn right away as he needs to get into a game shape as well to reportedly prepare mentally.
