Dennis Schroder might put on the Lakers jersey again in future. The German point guard was signed by Los Angeles in 2020 with the hopes of long-term cooperation but left the team last summer.

A new report suggest that the Lakers explored the possibility to bring Schroder back before the trade deadline. However, there are mixed opinions within the team as to whether it would be a good choice.

Via Jovan Buha of The Athletic:

“The Lakers explored the possibility of trading for Schröder at the trade deadline, as The Athletic’s Bill Oram reported. While there remains some division internally among the Lakers’ decision-makers regarding Schröder after his uncomfortable departure last summer, there is interest in bringing him back as a backup point guard, according to league sources.”

This season Schroder, who has traded to the Houston Rockets yesterday, is averaging 14.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 29.2 minutes per game.
