BREAKING: Nets trading James Harden to Sixers for Ben Simmons

The NBA has been shaken by the trade between the Nets and the Sixers. Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Brooklyn agreed to trade James Harden to Philadelphia in exchange for Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first-round picks, sources tell ESPN. According to Woj, Paul Millsap is also included in the deal by the Nets.

This season Harden averaged 22.5 points, 8 rebounds and 10.2 assists in 37 minutes per game for the Nets. Meanwhile Simmons sat out until now for Philadelphia after requesting to be traded last summer.

Curry averaged 15 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4 assists in 34.8 minutes per game. Meanwhile Drummond averaged 6.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2 assists in 18.4 minutes per game.

Shams Charania reports that part of the deal includes James Harden opting into his $47.3 million player option on contract for next season.

There might be more trades today by Brooklyn, according to Woj, as the team is still working to be aggressive.
