Throughout his career Russell Westbrook has been used to playing on the ball a lot and being the go-to guy. Since joining the Lakers he had to adjust to a different role with LeBron James and Anthony Davis being the main superstars of the team.

Recently Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was asked about the issue of Russ not being used to being an off the ball defensive type of a player.

“Yeah but he’s done it throughout his career,” Vogel told the media. I mean he’s played with great players. He knows how to play to win. So it’s not something that’s new to him.”

This season Westbrook is averaging 18.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists in 34.7 minutes per game. Offensively it is his worst season since year two in the league.
