DeMarcus Cousins once again became a free agent after his 10-day contract expired following Sunday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. The 31-year-old center expressed his desire to remain with the team long-term.
But it is up to the Nuggets to decide on how to proceed. According to Mike Signer of The Denver Post, the team is likely to give another 10-day contract to Cousins but will wait for the trade deadline to determine the best path ahead.
During his spell with the Nuggets, Cousins played five games averaging 6 points and 7 rebounds per game. He has struggled to secure a permanent spot on an NBA roster and has played for six different teams over the last four years.
