Anthony Davis on Malik Monk: “Him alone beat the Knicks in the third quarter”

Lakers newcomer Malik Monk continues to impress. The 24-year-old shooting started for the purple and gold against the Knicks and played 39 minutes, scoring 29 points.

The majority of Monk’s points, 18, came in the third quarter in which the Lakers limited their opponents to just 13 points while scoring 31 points themselves.

“Him alone beat the Knicks in the third quarter,” Anthony Davis said about Monk after the game. “He was able to get us going, get our juice going with our rhythm offensively going and was able to help us to carry that into the fourth quarter and overtime, play with a little bit more swag on the offensive end.”
