Ben Simmons is losing significant money while he is sitting out games trying to force his trade from the Philadelphia 76ers. The situation is making the team’s head coach Doc Rivers laugh at it and also feel bad.

According to him, it’s all about posturing. Even though Rivers has to deal without Simmons who is one of the most important players on the team, he has no hard feelings towards him.

Via Tom Moore of Bucks County Courier Times:

“It’s all posturing. That’s why you haven’t heard me – I don’t get involved in all that stuff. I’ll leave that up to the front office and Ben’s camp. I’m staying out of that part. But, listen, some of this stuff I laugh at and I feel bad. I think Ben’s a good kid. I want Ben to do well.”

Rivers is reportedly the culprit of this situation. It is believed that his comment expressing doubt whether Simmons can be the main point guard of a championship-caliber team prompted his trade request last June.
