Jazz rule out Joe Ingles with season-ending ACL injury

Utah Jazz announce on Monday that Joe Ingles will miss the remainder of the season, after suffering an ACL injury in his left knee.

The Australian forward got injured in the game vs the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. He had an MRI on Monday that revealed a torn ACL and will now undergo surgery.

Joe Ingles will make a full recovery and he will return to the floor in the start of the 2022/23 season. The 34-year-old forward has been averaging 7.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists this season.

After spending eight years with Utah, Ingles is in the final year of his contract, worth $13M. His expiring contract could still be useful to the Jazz in trade discussions, ESPN reports.

The Jazz have lost five straight and nine of their last 11 games to drop to fourth in the Western Conference, at 30-21.
