The Lakers will complete their six-game road trip without LeBron James who has left the team and returned to Los Angeles to treat his left knee.

According to Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, there is swelling in LeBron’s knee which needs to be treated. “As long as the swelling is there, he is going to be out,” he said, per Dave McMenamin.

James has already missed two games due to left knee soreness. Later tonight the Lakers will take on the Hawks, hoping to recover after losing two games in a row.
