LeBron James to sit down for the Lakers versus Sixers due to knee soreness

Superstar LeBron James won’t play in the Los Angeles Lakers’ marquee Thursday showdown against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the four-time MVP has a left knee soreness and is listed as day to day unavailable from team activities.

Los Angeles head coach Frank Vogel said in pre-game that James woke up with some soreness in his left knee, an issue that placed the 37-year-old superstar for a rest, via team insider Mike Trudell.

Without their leader, fellow stars Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook have to step up in order to snatch the road game against the surging home squad Sixers, who have won four of their last five games. Moreover, containing or matching up the production of Philly’s franchise big man Joel Embiid has to be the focal concern, as the Cameroonian center is currently on a tear has tallied a whopping 170 points in his last four occasions.

The Lakers will enter the City of Brotherly Love territory as the ninth-seeded team of the West with a 24-24 record. As for the Sixers, they hold a 28-19 card – good enough for the fifth slot of the East.
