Lakers sign Stanley Johnson

The Los Angeles Lakers announced they have agreed to a season-long deal with small-ball big man Stanley Johnson. The 25-year-old, who began the season with the South Bay Lakers in the G League, has been playing for Los Angeles on three separate 10-day deals over the past 14 games (including six starts).

Johnson has averaged 6.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 21.2 minutes with L.A. and shot a career-best 51.6% from the field and 34.4% from deep. The No. 8 overall pick in the 2015 draft, Johnson has played for the Pistons, Pelicans, and Raptors during his NBA career.
