Wizards’ star Bradley Beal addresses trade rumors after blowing a 35-point lead vs Clippers

Washington Wizards saw the Los Angeles Clippers making a historic comeback Tuesday night as Bradley Beal and co. dropped a 35-point lead to eventually lose to LA with 116-115.

“I have a lot of conversations with Tommy [Shephard],” Bradley Beal said on the trade rumors. “We’re very transparent with what we wanna do and what my future looks like. And yeah, the deadline is coming. I’m very well aware of how we’re playing and how other teams are playing and what my interests are and getting this organization an opportunity to prove that and show it. And obviously, I’m a big factor into that as well, producing and playing well for this club.”

Beal finished Tuesday’s game with 23 points, nine rebounds, and six assists on 8-of-15 shooting from the field. However, he was unable to help his team close up the game, with Wizards dropping two games under 500. (23-25).

“But I wanna win, and we all know that. It’s just a matter of us doing it. We got the pieces, we got the assets, we got the depth. Everything that we bragged about at the beginning of the year. Now it’s put it together and make it work. Speculations are gonna be what they are, I can’t control that, but I know what comes out of my mouth and I know where my heart is.”

Washington is tied at 10th place of the Eastern Conference standings with the New York Knicks, after an encouraging start to the 2021-22 season. They lost the last four of an 8-game homestand, as the Wizards are preparing for a brief three-game stint in the road against Memphis, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia.

It will be interesting to see if the Wizards will be active in the trade deadline considering they are three games away from the seventh seed. In any case, many teams around the league will probably be interested in how the situation will unveil in Washington.
