NBA Lineup Notes: Biyombo, Muscala, Love, Niang, Coffey, Wagner

Lineup notes from role players around the NBA.

  • Phoenix’s Bismack Biyombo is playing exceptional basketball for his new team, averaging 10.8 PPG/7.6 RPG/1.3 APG/1.2 BPG/70.2% FG in 9 games. Biyombo signed a 10-day contract back on January 1st, which then turned into a deal for the rest of the season thanks to his great play.
  • It should be interesting to see if a team finally trades for Oklahoma City sharpshooter Mike Muscala at the deadline. The 30-year-old ranks 5th in the NBA in three point percentage at 43.3% and has shot 39.2% from deep with the Thunder since 2019.
  • Cleveland’s Kevin Love & Philadelphia’s Georges Niang have been two of the East’s best bench players this season. Both shoot the ball around 40% from three point range (Love- 40.2% 3-PT, Niang- 38.6% 3-PT) and bring valuable leadership off the bench.
  • The LA Clippers’ Amir Coffey & Orlando’s Moritz Wagner are currently in a productive rhythm for their under .500 clubs. Coffey put up 12.1 PPG/51.3% FG/42.6% 3-PT/91.7% FT and Wagner posted 11.2 PPG/64.5% FG/39.1% 3-PT/85.7% FT during their last 9 games.
