Recently a report appeared suggesting that the Houston Rockets might have some interest in making a trade for Russell Westbrook if it would include John Wall.
However, Marc Stein reports that even if such trade were to take place, Houston would not be playing the former NBA MVP and instead the parties would work on a buyout.
Westbrook is set to earn $47 million next season if he exercises his player option in summer which he is expected to do.
This season Russ is averaging 18.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.8 assists in 34.9 minutes per game for the Los Angeles Lakers.
