Damian Lillard: “I’m not gonna play for no draft pick”

The star of the Portland Trail Blazers Damian Lillard is still recovering from his surgery, which is the reason why he is not going to play for at least six or more weeks.

However, he is not indifferent to the talks of the team when they can’t decide whether to continue fighting for the playoffs or to tank the season.

“If we’re going to play for a draft pick then it wouldn’t make sense for me to … Because, I’m not gonna play for no draft pick. I’m just not capable of that,” Lillard said, per Aaron J. Fentress.

Portland is currently 10th – the last place for qualifying for the play-in tournament – in the Western Conference with 19 wins and 26 losses.

Lillard has played 29 games for the Trail Blazers this season, averaging 24 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game.
