NBA insider reveals talk between De’Aaron Fox and Kings’ management ahead of trade deadline

Sacramento Kings are expected to be active ahead of the Feb.10 trade deadline, as the franchise is still away from a playoff berth, and hasn’t made the postseason since 2006.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, De’Aaron Fox could be among the players to be moved at trade deadline. Haynes revealed what Fox said to the Sacramento Kings FO if they opt to move him at the deadline.

“One thing that he asked the management is that if there is a deal to be made, and is going to include him, he just asked that front office informs him first he doesn’t want to find out via social media,” Haynes said on recently.

As things stand now, the Kings are out of the playoff picture, but they can still make the play-in. However, they have gone through many ups and downs throughout the season. The same goes for Kings’ star guard De’Aaron Fox.

After an all-star caliber year last season, averaging 25.2 points and 7.2 assists on 47/32/71 shooting splits, Fox seems to be away from his perennial All-Star self this year.

He averages 20.9 points and 5.2 assists per contest, shooting 45 percent from the field and 32 percent from deep. The high-flying guard could need a change of scenery, especially if the 18-28 Kings remain out of playoff picture.
