Nikola Jokic about NBA officiating after Nuggets’ loss: “I don’t even try to talk to them anymore”

Nikola Jokic doesn’t bother to talk to the referees about their decision-making throughout Denver’s games this season. The reigning MVP was called to comment on the 29-8 free throw disparity in Nuggets’ 125-102 loss to Utah.

Obviously, the Serbian superstar is not pleased; however, he’s avoiding a confrontation with the officials with the fear of an ejection.

“I didn’t talk to (the refs) at all,” Jokic said, per Mike Singer of Denver Post. “I’m really trying not to talk to them because I try to and then I get technical, ejected. So I don’t even try to talk to them anymore.”

Jokic finished the contest with his ninth triple-double of the season. He had 25 points, 15 rebounds and 14 assists, tied with Russell Westbrook for the most triple-doubles this season.

The Nuggets fell to 22-20 on the season and snapped a two-game winning streak. They will get back to action Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
