Lakers coach gives his thoughts on Trevor Ariza

This season started late for Trevor Ariza, who suffered an injury in preseason. He only recently returned to action and played his first game for the Lakers since joining the team this past offseason.

According to Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, the 36-year-old forward is still working on getting back to his usual shape, but likes what he sees from the veteran, especially on offense.

“I think Trevor’s coming along,” Vogel said. “Obviously we knew it’s going to take a little bit of time for him to start getting his legs under him. I’ve seen some real positive things from him, just in how he’s moving and the comfort level he’s getting with what we’re doing on both sides of the ball.

“I really like what he’s doing offensively from a standpoint of bringing that three-point line spacing, being aggressive in catch and shot situations and then being really efficient in re-drive situations, putting the ball on the deck not always to score but to create for others and he’s created a lot of good offense for us.”
