As the Los Angeles Lakers are currently shuffling their deck for a much better pursuit in title contention, head coach Frank Vogel has revealed one of his plans.
And it is all about the currently sidelined combo guard, Kendrick Nunn.
As reported by ESPN correspondent Dave McMenamin, Vogel said prior to the Lakers’ clash against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday that the 26-year-old Nunn will take a hefty exposure once it finally clear from unavailability.
Nunn, who hasn’t yet played with the Lakers this regular season due to a bone bruise dating back in October, is getting closer to a return as told also by Vogel on Monday. Still, the franchise will look into adjustments and how the young guard will blend alongside LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook.
“We’ve got to throw him into the mix and see what he looks like in our system before we can make any real determinations of what his role is going to be,” Vogel said, per Harrison Feigen of SB Nation. “But we love what his game is. To shoot the three, to play make in the pick-and-roll game, and also to be a second-side attacker when you’ve got Bron, Russ, and AD with the basketball. He’s a talented young man, and somebody we really think can help us.”
