Frank Vogel clarifies Rob Pelinka, Kurt Rambis to decide on Lakers final roster spot, Avery Bradley’s stay this season

As things continue to move on the side of the Los Angeles Lakers, the management certainly has big decisions needed to come up to this week.

And it is all about the team’s final roster spot and Avery Bradley’s contract status.

Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic, head coach Frank Vogel clarified that the decision will fall on general manager Rob Pelinka and senior adviser Kurt Rambis about the two separate situations.

As Stanley Johnson and Darren Collison’s 10-day hardship deals expired on Monday, the Lakers also have a final roster spot that was vacated by the recently-traded Rajon Rondo. Though ESPN’s Dave McMenamin has already reported that Johnson and the franchise have mutual interest for another run, this is yet to be determined for the following moments to come.

On the other hand, Bradley’s one-year, non-guaranteed $2.6 million contract will be assured on Friday. While the veteran remains a trustworthy wing player with his two-way approach, his status needs to be watched since some teams may target his service once the partnership will suddenly be ended.

As such, these two impending scenarios will take a huge swing on the Lakeshow’s fortunes in their current lopsided season. As opponents are gearing up and competitiveness is rising, choosing reliable personnel has to be the key to rise up from the real contention.
