Eight Blazers players out vs the Lakers

The Portland Trail Blazers will have several players unavailable for their battle with the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

A total of eight players will be out for the Blazers, due to injuries and Covid-19 protocols. Seven players are still in the protocols, while CJ McCollum is recovering from a right lung injury he sustained (pneumothorax).

Dennis Smith Jr. and Ben McLemore are set to rejoin the team after exiting the protocols and Portland is listing them as probable. Meanwhile, Nassir Little is also probable with a right ankle sprain.

On the other hand, the Lakers will also miss players, because of Covid-19 protocols and injuries. LA currently is seventh in the West, at 17-19. For their part, the Blazers are 12th with a 13-21 record.
