David Fizdale on LeBron James as starting center

Following the Los Angeles Lakers win over the Houston Rockets (132-123) on Tuesday night, the Lakers interim head coach David Fizdale talks about the debut of LeBron James as the starting center and what led to it: “LeBron’s plus-minus at the 5 is so ridiculous right now… I just decided tonight was the night to start him at the 5.” Fizdale says that there are “a lot of great 5s in this league who will abuse you if you go small” and says the team has wanted to keep DeAndre Jordan and Dwight Howard engaged, which is part of why they have kept playing. But he says tonight his gut told him to start LeBron at the 5.
