DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine join legendary Bulls’ duo after combining for 65 points vs Hawks

Chicago Bulls are an elite offensive team when DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are together on the team’s starting lineup.

In the 130-118 win over the Atlanta Hawks, the Bulls superstar duo combined for 65 points and 19 assists to become the first duo of superstars with 30+ points and 9+ assists in the same game for the franchise.

The previous Bulls’ teammates to achieve these numbers were Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen back on March 31, 1991. DeRozan finished with 35 points on 14-of-20 shooting from the field. He also added 10 assists.

As for LaVine, the high-flying combo guard had 30 points on 11-of-21 shooting, while he dished nine assists as the Bulls dominated the Hawks away from home.

Both players returned to action recently, with DeRozan playing the second game since he cleared protocols. The Bulls are on a four-game winning streak, having a 21-10 record, which is ranked as the second-best in the East.
