EuroLeague suspended the second matchup of Round 18, as Real Madrid requested a suspension for its game against Fenerbahce on Dec. 29.

Madrid made the request after several team members tested positive for COVID-19, which leaves the team with less than the minimum eight players ahead of the game.

Following the Special Regulations due to COVID-19, approved by the ECA Shareholders Executive Board, each game can be rescheduled up to three times, if there are available dates.

Real Madrid was coming off a strong performance that kept the team one game behind the league-leading FC Barcelona. Fener lost a close-game to ASVEL, putting an end to a three-game winning streak.
