Nets vs Lakers: James Harden, Russell Westbrook became first opponents to each post triple-doubles in a Christmas game

James Harden and Russell Westbrook made history in the clash between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day.

Harden and Westbrook became the first opponents to each post triple-doubles in a Christmas game. Harden went for 36 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while Westbrook posted 13 points, 12 boards and 11 assists.

Nets star guard Patty Mills also made NBA history with the eight three-pointers he hit, which are the most in a Christmas Day game. Brooklyn endured the wild comeback of LA (down by 23) and went on to win the game (122-115).

The Nets remained on top of the East, currently at 22-9. Meanwhile, the Lakers lost their fifth straight and dropped to 16-18 in the West.
