Giannis Antetokounmpo goes for 36 points; Bucks make wild comeback vs Celtics

Giannis Antetokounmpo was unstoppable in his return to action and led the Milwaukee Bucks past the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day (117-113).

The “Greek Freak” went for 36 points (13/23 shooting), 12 rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes on the floor. Three more players scored in double figures for the winners. On the contrary, Jayson Tatum (25 points) and Jaylen Brown (25 points) combined for 50 points for the losing squad.

The Celtics were in control for the majority of the night and led by as many as 19 in the second quarter. Yet, the Bucks turned things around in the second half to outscore their opponents 51-70 and emerge victorious.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way, Milwaukee closed the game on a 4-21 run and claimed an unexpected victory over a depleted Boston squad. The Bucks improved to 22-13 and made another step towards the top of the East. For their part, the Celtics fropped to 16-17.
