Golden State Warriors returned to prominence this season, after missing the postseason in the last two years due to injuries and vital changes to the roster.

Warriors star Klay Thompson believes this Golden State team had many things to offer, after making five consecutive NBA finals between 2015 and 2019.

“We’re a championship team,” Thompson said, per Howard Beck of Sports Illustrated. “So when they do step in and take our minutes, we expect them to have the same success we did, as far as just being a contender year in and year out.”

The Dubs’ dominance has been experienced some setbacks for the past two years as they weren’t able to overcome injuries to Thompson, who missed both seasons, and Stephen Curry, who just made five appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.

“We can be one of the greatest dynasties – and it’s not over,” Thompson added. “I truly believe that.” The Warriors returned in a major way this season, ranking second in the Western Conference with a 25-6 record.
