FC Bayern Munich is preparing to conclude the first round of the 2021-22 EuroLeague regular season against Baskonia. The Bavarians will play against a familiar face at Audi Dome.

Wade Baldwin IV will face his former team as the American guard returns to Audi Dome after being the leading scorer for the German club the previous year.

“At the end of the first half of the season we will meet a team with a lot of talent and a lot of three-point shooters, so we have to be very careful and focused on the defensive,” said head coach Andrea Trinchieri. “Of course it is very nice to see Wade again. But we have to play with great concentration.”

Bayern is coming off two losses in EuroLeague’s double week away from home as they’re closing the first round in Munich. Even if the fans are missing again, there is a positive trend.

The Bavarians have won their last four home games at Audi Dome. Back in team training and thus possibly, an option is playmaker Zan Mark Sisko, who was severely missed last week in Piraeus and Belgrade.

“For me they are a very strong, very talented team that plays extremely physically,” said Vladimir Lucic “You have certainly had some problems so far and have already changed coach; it will probably take time to adjust to the new system.

Your strength is definitely the very long bank and it will definitely be a tough game. But we definitely want to return the favor after the two away defeats and this game is a good chance for that.”
