Kemba Walker: “I know I should be playing”

New York Knicks head coach Tim Thibodeau decided not to use Kemba Walker in his rotation back in late November. The 31-year-old point guard missed 10 games because of that.

Last night, Walker was back on court and made the most of the opportunity. The former NBA All-Star scored 29 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 37 minutes of play as the Knicks were beaten by the Celtics (107-114).

After the game, Walker expressed his opinion that he does not belong on the bench. “I know I should be playing,” he said via Stefan Bondy of New York Daily News.

This season, Walker is averaging 12.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 25 minutes of play — numbers comparable to his rookie year only.
