Klay Thompson, Warriors targeting a season debut in January, says NBA insider

Klay Thompson may not make his season debut with the Golden State Warriors in late December, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

As the NBA insider reports, the Warriors and the superstar guard are targeting January for the season debut. More specifically, January 9 and January 18 seem to be the preferred dates. On these dates, the Warriors will host the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons, respectively.

Prior reports were suggesting that Klay Thompson would make his season debut during Christmas period, and more specifically on December 28.

For his part, Klay Thompson has fully recovered from the serious injuries that sidelined him for the past two seasons. The superstar guard has been out for more than 900 days and last played in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

Golden State released a statement on Friday and provided an update on Thompson, without giving any return date, though. At the moment, the Warriors are on top of the West, with a league-best 24-5.
