A former All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas has signed his 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Lakers this afternoon. The guard will be wearing No. 31. After the deal, Thomas took to Twitter to react to the news:
Thomas, 32, last played an NBA game during the 2020-21 season when the New Orleans Pelicans signed him to a 10-day contract. He averaged 7.7 points across three games.
The two-time All-Star returns to Los Angeles after averaging 15.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in 26.8 minutes in 17 games (one start) for the Lakers during the 2017-18 season.
