Boston Celtics could be on the way to make meaningful changes to their roster going forward, including moving a big name, such as Jaylen Brown.

In a recent appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio, NBA insider Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report made a prediction about the Celtics making big changes to their roster.

“I think that this is definitely the beginning of the end of the Jayson Tatum-Jaylen Brown pairing,” said Fischer. “I don’t know if that will get broken up this season.

But I think some time in the next 12-to-18 months, we’re really gonna start to hear conversations about the future of Boston with Jaylen Brown heading out the door,” Fischer said.

Boston is now under .500 for the season, and Brown has missed several weeks lately with a hamstring injury. Despite having career-best numbers in the last two seasons, several NBA pundits expressed their skepticism over Jayson Tatum’s fit with Jaylen Brown.

Both players operate better with the ball in their hands, while Tatum has also shined with his ability to score in isolated situations during games.

It remains to be seen exactly how the Celtics view their future with Tatum and Brown, as Brown is expected to make his return against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.
