Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks calls out officials after loss to Luka Doncic, Mavs

Dillon Brooks and the Memphis Grizzlies have experienced their first loss in the last five games. Brooks, who picked up two technical fouls during the game, was not happy with officiating in the game vs the Dallas Mavericks.

The swinging forward received his second technical with 27.5 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. His anger with the decision was evident, as Grizzlies assistants were forced to restrain him.

Brooks was clearly angered with the referees and he did not hesitate to call them off, claiming they did not let his team get physical during Wednesday’s loss.

(via The Commercial Appeal):

“As you saw in the game, we’ve been playing physical basketball for about a week now. And all of a sudden, new officials come in here and they call an inconsistent game.

They want to call ticky-tack in the first half and then in the second half they want to call nothing,” Brooks said. “And then you got guys getting undercut, getting hit on the floor, no call.

There’s a lack of protection of the players and that’s the main thing, I felt like this crew came out there and just made it about them and that’s bull.”

The NBA will most likely fine Dillon Brooks for his rant. The Grizzlies will look to bounce back from their loss when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers.
