The Los Angeles Lakers are still waiting for their newcomer Trevor Ariza to fully recover from an ankle injury that kept him out of action since preseason.
According to Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, the 36-year-old small forward participated in his first scrimmage since the injury, but has some ways to go before being fully ready to play.
“He participated in live action for the first time in scrimmage play,” Vogel said. “Still looks like he has ways to go to get his legs under him and all those types of things. It still feels a little bit weak for him, but not painful if that makes sense.
“So it’s going to take time for him to build strength in the ankle and obviously to get his legs under him, but he participated in full scrimmage, yes.”
