John Wall will likely have many suitors if he works with the Houston Rockets on a buyout. Wall’s four-year, $171.1 million contract remains a significant deterrent in trade talks, per The Athletic’s David Aldridge.

As transcribed by the Bleacher Report, Aldridge reported that several NBA executives believe the former All-Star guard will attract interest from contending NBA teams.

League execs mentioned the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks as potential landing spots if the five-time All-Star enters the buyout market.

Wall has two years and $91 million remaining on his current contract. He participated in 40 games last year, but has not taken the court at all this season, due to his agreement with the Rockets.

Several reports were suggesting that the All-Star guard was in talks with the Rockets to make his return and play for Houston this season.

Apparently, the talks did not end up on a positive note, as Wall still sits out with the Rockets going on a four-game winning streak since then.

The Rockets acquired Wall last season in a deal that sent Russell Westbrook to the Wizards. In 40 games for Houston, Wall averaged 20.6 points and 6.9 assists.
