Evan Fournier misses game-winning three-pointer; Nets edge Knicks in New York derby

Evan Fournier had the chance to hand the New York Knicks the victory over the Brooklyn Nets, but missed the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer.

As a result, the Nets, who led by as many as 16, went on to defeat the Knicks in the New York derby at Barclays Center (110-112). Following its victory, Brooklyn remains on top of the East (15-6).

James Harden (34 points, 11/20 shooting, 10 rebounds, eight assists) and Kevin Durant (27 points, five boards, nine assists) combined for 61 points for the winners.

On the contrary, five players scored in double figures for the losing squad, with Alec Burks leading the way with a team-high 25 points. New York is seventh in the East with an 11-10 record.
