Nikola Jokic reacts on boos by Heat fans in Miami

Growing up in a challenging environment of a European country like Serbia, reigning league MVP Nikola Jokic is tough as nails and sturdy enough to take every hit.

And as the Miami Heat fans made him hear their cold reception on his much-awaited arrival in South Beach, he just simply shrugged it off — seems little enough to care about.

Following the Denver Nuggets’ road trip triumph against the Heat on Monday, the Serbian superstar was asked about his reaction to the boos that he received from Miami fans within the FTX Arena.

Jokic only provided a plain answer, implying that the bad treatment is not that huge enough from the wild experience he had in his home country crowd.

“I played in Serbia, brother. I wish you guys could feel that.”

Still, the big man made his case that playing in Miami is fun and it’s just a normal game to deal with.

“It’s always fun playing in Miami.”

Jokic finished the game with 24 markers, 15 boards and 7 assists off to a four-game layoff. His return to the lineup is much needed for the shorthanded Nuggets.

Jokic is being eyed by the Heat fans after the infamous hard body check incident with forward Markieff Morris earlier this month. The saga turned intense after the respective family members of the two sides engaged in a social media war.

Now that the Nuggets-Heat regular season clash is in the books, while there’s no further evidence of another boiling conflict, it’s finally good to see that these involved cagers have dispatched the complicated things that happened. Jokic and Morris seem cool enough and have already moved on from the situation.
