Giannis Antetokounmpo ecstatic on DeMarcus Cousins’ addition to Bucks, delivers humorous post on Twitter

Giannis Antetokounmpo, like Kawhi Leonard, is a fun guy off the court — and the newest subject of his charming nature is the Milwaukee Bucks’ newest addition, DeMarcus Cousins.

The two-time MVP landed a humorous post via Twitter directed to Boogie’s joining the defending champs — referencing the tissue dance. More importantly, behind the tweet is a delightful feeling that a former star and a proven contributor is set to arrive in Cream City.

On the other side, Cousins seems giving his grin and thumbs up, retweeting the Greek superstar’s social media post with two solid emojis.

Cousins was a ferocious beast prior to the major setback in 2018 as a result of Achilles tear, amassing multiple All-star selections and All-NBA recognitions as the face of the Sacramento Kings in early to mid 2010s. Now in the shell of his former self, he still managed to suit up as a significant role player for the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Though the all-star skills within him are now nonexistent due to the painful lapses that occured, the signing of the Bucks shows how he can still impact on a nightly basis and be a productive big man. He can provide ample three-level scoring and anchoring the team’s interior within the hardwood, while mental toughness and leadership off the court when hardships and daunting challenges are in front. Obviously, this move by Milwaukee is a low risk-high reward one due to the non-guaranteed contract, but if you need a proven back up big behind the still recovering Brook Lopez and who can lessen the hefty workload of Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis, Cousins is the one.

As such, the best thing that the Bucks can give to Cousins after his roller coaster journey as a cager is a championship ring. But for that, Cousins has to do his part also and help the city to achieve what it currently desires now — a title repeat.
