Ja Morant has expressed his joy as the Memphis Grizzlies revealed the seriousness of his left foot injury. Morant suffered a non-contact leg injury on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks, several people feared it was an ACL or Achilles tear.
However, Memphis informed the fans that Morant suffered a left knee sprain. While it’s still a serious issue that might take some time to heal, it’s not as severe as feared.
After the news broke out, the Grizzlies superstar took the Twitter to react to his injury update, as he avoided a significant injury that could have ended his season.
The Grizzlies are expected to not rush Morant’s return, as the franchise is now necessarily on win-now mode. It’s still unknown how long Ja Morant will be out.
