French international Joffrey Lauvergne is set to begin his NBA career after signing a three-year deal with the Denver Nuggets.

The announcement first came from the player himself who shared the news with his followers on Twitter:

Lauvergne started this season in Russia with Khimki after spending two seasons in Serbia with Partizan.

The 23-year-old forward established himself in Belgrade but couldn’t settle well in Khimki and has recently parted ways with the Russian side.

This season Lauvergne averaged 7.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in 13 games in Eurocup for Khimki.

In 2013 NBA Draft Lauvergne was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 55th pick but was then subsequently traded to the Nuggets.
