The Los Angeles Lakers ended their five-game road trip with an overtime win against the Indiana Pacers. For the purple and gold, it was their 10th win this season. With 10 wins in 20 games, the Lakers occupy the 7th place in the Western Conference.

According to James Worthy, who won three NBA championships as a Laker, the Pacers game was what his former team needed. “This was a game they really needed,” he said on Spectrum Sports Net.

“A little scuffle in Detroit kind of pulled them together a little bit. But this game was one they really needed. I think this one will propel them into a better place going forward now.

“Overall game they picked it up in the second half, they didn’t allow as many points in the paint, they got some fast break points.

“I thought Monk’s contribution tonight was critical at times, he made some big shots. But then LeBron James did what he did best and led this team tonight.”
