Malik Monk on LeBron James going for 39 points vs. Pacers: “That’s why he’s the GOAT”

LeBron James had a huge game for the Los Angeles Lakers as he scored 39 points in 43 minutes of play, helping his team take an overtime win over the Indiana Pacers.

Lakers newcomer Malik Monk, who had 17 points and eight rebounds coming off the bench, was asked to talk about his experience of playing alongside James in a game like this.

“It’s what he does,” the 23-year-old shooting guard said. “That’s why he’s the GOAT, man. He’ going to take control of the game, let everybody know we’re in no rush. He’s going to bring us home and that’s what I see.

“Like you said, I’ve been watching him my whole life. He’s like our Jordan in my generation. Just seeing him… I’m just blessed to be out there with him and just learn from him every day.”
